Gareth Davies MP today visited Delaine Buses at their headquarters in Bourne to meet with the family who own and operate bus services across much of Bourne, Stamford, and surrounding villages.
Ever since their first journey back in 1890 and their first motorised bus service in 1919, Delaine Buses have been connecting communities across south Lincolnshire and Peterborough.
As well as discussing their long history, Gareth also heard how Delaine Buses are making use of modern technology to make their services easier for customers to use and reduce delays.
Gareth said:
“It was wonderful to visit Delaine Buses in Bourne yesterday morning to meet some of the team that provide such an important service for people throughout Bourne, Stamford and our villages.
They are yet another fantastic example of a thriving family-run business in our area, and it was great to hear how the company continues to evolve, ever since their first service back in 1890!”
