We all recall the lessons we learned from our first job. At the same time, a lot of people will be aware of young people who, in spite of their best efforts, are having difficulty finding job experience because businesses are struggling.
Young people frequently get their first taste of the working world through summer jobs. For many, it's where fundamental life skills are first acquired, such as teamwork, communication, and money management, all while fostering the idea that hard effort equates to receiving your own money to spend however you like.
For this reason, Gareth is honored to be a part of spearheading the national effort to urge the government to Save the Summer Job.
By cutting business taxation, slashing employment red tape, and backing the sectors that provide these roles like hospitality, we can boost employment and open up more opportunities for young people to succeed.
