This morning, the Leader of the Opposition and Leader of the Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch MP, visited Kesteven & Grantham Girls' School to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of former KGGS pupil, Margaret Thatcher.
Gareth said:
"Delighted that the Leader of the Opposition, Kemi Badenoch MP, visited Kesteven & Grantham Girls’ School (KGGS) earlier this week as part of our local Margaret Thatcher centenary celebrations.
Kemi was extremely impressed by the pupils and staff that she had the chance to meet, and was pleased to see that so many young girls from our corner of Lincolnshire continue to benefit from the excellent start in life which helped to shape Margaret Thatcher.
KGGS is just one of a number of great schools across our area, and I hope the focus on the legacy of Lincolnshire’s Iron Lady this week helps to inspire all current pupils to achieve their own ambitions."
