This week, Sixth Form students from Priory Ruskin Academy visited Parliament, and I had the opportunity to take part in a Q&A session with them.
It's always a pleasure when local schools come to Parliament, giving students the chance to learn about how Parliament functions and take a tour of the Palace of Westminster. The students from Priory Ruskin were full of insightful questions about my role as an MP and the workings of Local Government.
School visits provide a fantastic opportunity to educate young people about the history and processes of democracy. The Education Centre at Parliament offers free tours and educational sessions for school children of all ages, and I highly encourage teachers to sign their schools up for a visit.
