"Wonderful to welcome over 50 pupils from Belmont Community Primary School to Parliament this afternoon.

I was pleased to be able to answer some excellent questions. It is crucial that our children learn the importance of our democratic system and feel able to engage with politics.

I would encourage all schools to take up the experience and resources offered by Parliament’s Education Centre."
