More support for Lincolnshire Police

While we are fortunate to benefit from relatively low crime in Lincolnshire, we must not be complacent and especially as the nature of the various crimes we have committed in the constituency changes and varies. Gareth will work to ensure Lincolnshire Police receive a fairer share of funding to help tackle crime and reverse the balance of fear. He has already held several meetings with Police Commissioner Marc Jones, Police Minister Kit Malthouse and Chief Constable Bill Skelly, to discuss our policing and has spoken in the House of Commons chamber about the importance of Lincolnshire Police.

Gareth was recently informed that Lincolnshire Police will be receiving an extra £8.6m in funding for 2020, that's an 8.1% increase on last year, from the UK Government. While this is an excellent result, Gareth will continue to press the case and be a strong voice for our police to ensure that we continue to receive investment.
